Ease Candy Cravings

Food cravings are a typical reaction to what we're experiencing and can make the cravings we wouldn't regularly eat strong, for example, salty potato chips or sweet chocolate brownies. Wanting food can come from a lot of reasons, including recollections of feelings, climate, and stress.

Overlooking that voice inside your head calling out toward sweets isn't in every case simple! Amid this season when each house and office has bowls of sweets, baked goods and prepared food up for grabs, it tends to be particularly difficult to calm that voice and remain tuned in to your body. At the time, getting a sugar fix may feel like it will fulfill your desires, but giving into your temptations most times result in overindulging.

Before indulging in your cravings, try these proposals to help you make the correct decision for you:

Deconstruct your hankering

It is safe to say that you are wanting sweets or would you say you are really parched? Is it only a flitting want? It is safe to say that  something is going on in your life and filling the void with food? Rather than instantly giving in and going after a sweet, deconstruct what your body is genuinely letting you know and choose what will satisfy it.

Make a stride back

Seeing the supermarket racks loaded with beautiful sacks of sweets that help you to remember youth can make you believe it's something you need. Be that as it may, as a general rule, before you strolled down that path, you had no craving for treat by any means. Pause for a minute to be careful about what you are longing for and to comprehend your hankering before you snatch that huge pack of sugar.

Choose normally sweet nourishments

Rather than tearing open a sweet treat or taking a treat (or two) that your associate shared, relieve your longings with more healthy alternatives. In the event that you know you have a sweet tooth and a hard time opposing a hankering, keep natural product or dark chocolate made with 80% cacao or more close by. When you watch what you eat, it becomes easier to make a  better decision towards a solid sweet tidbit.

Appreciate it – with some restraint

On the off chance that you have a consistent longing for something however have been not giving into it, let yourself appreciate it with some restraint. Tune in to your body and realize that it's alright to appreciate something you're longing for without overindulging.

Watch your mouth!

In health,

Holiday Season Eating

I don't know about you but Christmas is seriously stressful for me when it comes to eating healthy. It can be challenging if you have eating issues. Why? Well, for me, I gave up sugar 7 months ago. I gotta try not to eat the food I am surrounded by.  I'm strong but I don't know if I'm strong enough yet for this. Guess, I gotta put on my big girl underwear and step up my game.
This got me thinking. I know this time of year brings on a lot of unsettling feelings. The following are some tips to avoid eating compulsively during the Holiday Season:
1.  Remember that deprivation leads to binging. Don't put anything on your DO NOT eat list. Tell yourself that you can have whatever you want but that you choose to only put foods into your body that make you feel good.
2.  Acknowledge the foods you enjoy. Enjoying them is not a sin. You don't have to earn your food. Food is a necessity in life and you should enjoy every single time you open your mouth.
3.  Tell yourself : “This holiday season, I will not diet”  This will take the pressure off of you. This does not mean you can go hog wild and eat an entire pie night after night.
4.  Do NOT deprive yourself, ahead of time. Just because you know that you have a holiday party on Friday you should NOT starve yourself until then. Doing this will backfire and make you gorge.
5. Inquiring minds want to know. Ask for the recipe, if you love something you tried. If you get the recipe and it's made of things you know you shouldn't put into your body all of the time, find ways to modify the recipe.
Whatever you do, do not criticize yourself no matter the weight or shape of your body.

"I haven't eaten all day." What happens to your body when you don't eat.

I just don't understand the phrase "I haven't eaten all day. I forgot." What? I never "forget" to eat! I love food, I love what it does for me, I love the way some of it tastes, mainly I never "forget" to eat because I know that my body needs food to function, the first 6 hours after eating, everything is pretty much status quo, and your body is busy breaking down glycogen - which stores energy - into glucose to be used as fuel by your cells. Around 25 percent of this glucose is used to power your brain alone, and the rest goes to powering muscle tissue and red blood cells.
Also, if I don't eat every 4-5 hours I get hangary  Do you know what "hangary" is: hangry is combination of being hungry and irrational angry, and it can result in you lashing out at the people you love the most. And it's all caused by your brain running out of the energy it needs to make good decisions.
But things get really dire after 72 hours, when your brain decides it needs more to survive. This is when your body starts to break down its own proteins so that it can use their amino acids to form glucose. This means your body literally cannibalises itself and eats away at your muscle tissue just to stay alive.
If you don't eat at this point, the break-down of your body will continue, and death can occur as little as three weeks after you stop eating - if you don't get sick from a lack of immune system-essential vitamins and minerals first.

Couch Potato's Rejoice

Does laying around on the couch eating pizza and beer sound like you?  Are the pounds piling up? Doing nothing is very tempting and it’s so not easy to lose some extra lbs if you love chillin’. Today’s post is all about how you can get fit without stepping inside a gym or giving up the food you love! Sounds amazing right? What’s the catch? No catch. Read on to find out more.

Drink Before You Eat

Most of the time when we eat we think our body is hungry when in fact we are just dehydrated. The fix? Have a large glass of water before every meal. Doing so will not only keep you hydrated (a crucial part of weight loss) but will also prevent you from overeating at meal times .

Do Your Exercising In Your Living Room

Truth be told, a little physical activity equals weight loss. You won’t have to leave the living room. Use an app like this 7 Minute Workout. Linked to your phone or iPad, this digital coaching app gives you workout videos you can follow in the comfort of your own home and it’s only $2.99

Don’t Drink Your Calories

Alcohol has empty calories and they add up fast! If you want to keep your weight loss you might need to modify your drinking habits. No, that doesn’t mean you can’t watch the game and have a beer.  The easiest thing you can do is to switch to light beer. Or alternate between a beer and a water throughout the night. There can be as many as 300 calories in a pint of lager or a large glass of wine, so start to treat your alcohol like food.

Always Eat Dessert

I saved the best for last. As a sweet lover I had to share. It is natural for the body to crave sugar after eating an exquisite meal. Just make sure you are attempting to make healthy choices. For instance, instead of eating ice cream, switch to frozen yogurt. Avoid milk chocolate, but a little dark chocolate might be just enough to take the edge off your cravings. Making healthy choices can help you not do a midnight fridge raid.
Just because you are lazy doesn’t mean you have to be unfit and chubby. Try making a few changes to your diet and activity levels  and you can drastically improve your health.

If you have any questions don't hesitate to reach out.
