Keep The Inner Thin You!

I know dramatic diets to get a slim waistline fast is alluring! But chilling out is the answer. Severe calorie cutbacks and crazy exercise puts your body into a panic. It only takes 3 weeks of frantic dieting to increase your stress hormones, in those you 3 weeks you are more likely to eat donuts and skip your fav sweat session because your body's petrified of starving.
Here are a few things you can do to increase your chances of losing weight and keep it off.
#1 Never go hungry.
Make this a priority! Do your prep work. You should make sure you have access to small portions of high-nutrient, low-calorie foods. Examples are:salad fixings, precut fruits and veggies, 100% whole-grain crackers, instant oatmeal.

#2 Make exercise a habit no matter what happens!
This is really easy to do. First, pick an activity you enjoy and do it for an extra 30 minutes a day for a solid month. Don't do any "extra" workouts like taking 2 spin classes in a row or doing a morning and evening workout unless you do it already.

#3 Release Your Stress
Think yoga breath. Slow belly breathing helps release your stress. Do it every single day for the best results.

No more pyramid schemes!

Facebook is truly awesome! I love reconnecting with people from my past and I love seeing what people that I just met are up to in their daily life. But....there is always a but, right? It seems that a lot of Facebook "friends" are always connecting with me because they want me on their "team" to sell stuff or pourchase their merchandise.
I hate selling stuff so it annoys me when my friends try convenience me to sell the products they are pushing or when they try to get me to buy $30 tea. I'm not gonna buy it so why on earth would I sell it? Please stop asking. Our friendship is going to suffer because I'm not "hosting" a party for you to sell all your overpriced stuff to my circle of friends. Look, we are friends because I care about you. I want you to do well but honestly, I've had enough.
I can't speak for everyone but most people I talk to have had enough.
I know times are tough and raising a family is expensive and "working from home" sales schemes are appealing, but you are pissing off your friends. No one likes to be stalked. This is how I feel. Like I'm being stalked and harassed at every Facebook post.
It seems like I get at least 4-5 of these "event" Facebook invites per week:

"HAVE YOU TRIED JAMBERRY YET?? OMG they DO NOT CHIP and come in so many awesome prints! Have you seen the ANCHOR PRINT??!!"
"Guys,  do NOT buy anything from Sephora because I just found the fountain of youth!" The post contains a ragged pic of a 95 year old woman who has wrinkles (because she is 95!) and after using  ARBONNE she looks 85! She's well lit and smiling. Amazingly the wrinkles have disappeared! Clearly this picture was posted so you can see HOW GREAT IT WORKS.

It really just upsets me and I can't deal with the ambush anymore.
I honestly am  happy people are going out on their own and taking control of their career but my Facebook has become a Lillian Vernon-esque catalog where any product known to man is being pushed down my throat. I'm sure some of these products and companies are "great"  but not so great Walmart or Target doesn't carry the products. Honestly, it makes me feel like crap when I realize the sole purpose of our conversation  is just a sales-pitch-in-waiting.

Enough pyramid schemes. Enough constant posts about what a GREAT DEAL you are offering for TODAY ONLY to your closest 734 friends. No more before-and-after pictures taken in questionable lighting. I'm not buying what you are selling, and I never will.

There are a lot of things which have a negative impact on our health, but somehow we still consume them every day. Also, there are a lot of diseases and many of them are caused by irregular nutrition. Hydration also plays a huge role in our lives. Without proper hydration, we would feel dizziness and fatigue because our body will not be able to work properly. Many people consume a lot of soda or artificially made juices with a lot of extra sugar or extra water. Not to mention all the artificial colors which are put in them. They just make us feel even thirstier and our body needs to deal with all of the extra sugar which is consumed when drinking them. There is one great drink on the market that in fact is my favorite one. It is just really great and I try to consume it every day. That is WRTMLN WTR. It is a cold pressed watermelon juice. The best thing is that it does not contain any additional sugar in it and no extra water. So it is 100 % natural. The taste is just delicious, especially during the summer hot days when you need something to boost your mood. It is really great to drink it after exercising. It would hydrate your body and provide you with electrolytes, so it is the favorite thing of many athletes. Also, many famous celebrities are huge believers of the health benefits this drink provides, such as Beyonce. This watermelon drink is made from organic watermelons which are GMO free. It is rich in vitamin C, so it will strengthen your immune system, will protect you from inflammations and will make your skin look really elastic, young and fresh. The watermelon fruit also contains a lot of L – citruline. That is an amino acid. And lycopene, a carotenoid phytonutrient that is been thought to be really important for the cardiovascular system and bone health. It seems that the benefits of this drink are endless. You can drink it whenever you want, while you are at work or after a workout in a gym or in your home. Some people use it as a snack during the day. It tastes really great. It is one of my favorite drinks. Highly recommended!

Walk This Way For Weight Loss

Have you walked the 2,181 mile-long Appalachian Trail? 10,000 people have! Yes, 10,000 is a big number but the sad truth is more than 100 million North Americans in general get no physical activity each day. Not even 10 minutes a day! What is even more sad is most of the 10,000 plus another 100 million or more, are overweight.
Most people gain weight from too little healthy activity and too much unhealthy food. I understand that some people have a genetic tendency to gain weight. But that is just an excuse. The good news is genes can be switched on or off, depending on lifestyle choices. I know because I have genes that I have to "fight."
All it takes to prevent weight gain is getting up to move. You don't need a fancy gym to get up and move. You can just WALK. You just have to walk for an hour a day to minimize your genetic predisposition for obesity in half. Try to walk at least a total of 10,000 steps a day. Start slow, but don't give up. I've seen people go full throttle and burn out and quit after the first few weeks on a plan. Try to hit the 10,000 mark within a month or so. That is your goal. You'll be surprised at how easy this becomes.
Diet is 80% of the healthy lifestyle game. Include the following in your day:

  • Eat plenty of fresh vegetables, fruits, and lean protein
  • Use olive oil.
  • Get enough omega-3 fatty acids a day to equal 900 milligrams. (Take supplements from algae.)
  • Drink plenty of water.
  • Sleep at least 7 hours a night (many folks need 8). It helps keep off extra pounds. 4 hours of sleep a night is not good for weight loss or maintenance. You won't make smart choices.
